Entering the USA cements our commitment to future brick-and-mortar and e-commerce growth and our continual international expansion. Orange County will join our 28 retail showrooms now spanning Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and China.
Our flagship USA showroom will open in Orange County, California in late 2023. With Australian design being core to the King Living ethos, founder, David King explains that it was essential to reflect an authentic Australian lifestyle in the showroom.
“After decades of research, we’ve crafted a space that aims to both inspire Californian residents as well as reflect our inherent dedication to authentic Australian design”.
The Orange County opening marks a significant milestone as the inaugural King Living showroom in the United States, and it will be closely followed by opening in Chicago. Our North American presence is also growing, with a second Canadian showroom in Calgary slated for 2024.
For King Living CEO David Woollcott, this expansion is only the beginning, with continued growth expected in the pipeline.
“Our growing international showroom portfolio is a testament to our products and people and paves the way forward to becoming a 100-year brand,” David shared. “We are thrilled to enter the United States and look forward to seeing our North American presence grow."

Founded in Sydney, Australia, King Living is truly an international success story. It was the launch into the Asia market that first catapulted King Living to an international stage and this was only the beginning.

Given the success in other international markets, the much-anticipated launch into the United States, broadens our global footprint and builds upon our existing presence in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, China and the United Kingdom.
The expansion into the USA is supported with proven experience and success in these markets, including the London showroom, located on the bustling Tottenham Court Road, that is consistently one of our top three performing showrooms globally.
The fast-paced growth marks an opportunity to share quality design with the world.

The first USA showroom will be housed in an impressive space in Orange County. The showroom will showcase our award-winning furniture, with designs for every room in the house including living, dining, outdoor, bedroom and home office ranges, as well as rugs and lighting.
Orange County is the ideal introduction into the American market, due to architectural similarities to Australia, as well as synergies in mindset and appreciation of an indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
“Indoor-outdoor living is synonymous with California and our designs are the perfect complement to this lifestyle,” David King shared. “We favour a relaxed, timeless aesthetic and many of our indoor designs are offered in outdoor versions, which creates that effortless flow between rooms.”
The second flagship store – set to open in Chicago – will appeal to the design forward customer, exposing King Living to a vast audience, with Chicago being the third largest city in the USA.
